But the mineshaft has been a home for one of Cornwall’s last pixie community. The pixies leave the mine and begin their trek to find a new home. The tribe take refuge in a nearby forest while the pixie chief, Pedwell, leads a small band across the countryside on a scouting mission in search of a new dwelling.

The scouting expedition face many dangerous obstacles that cross their path. The remaining pixie tribe are subject to attacks from dark forces and must contend with a traitor in their midst.

Will Pedwell and his band win the race against time to find a new home before the pixie community is wiped out forever?

A Good Scare

I was lucky to have a preview copy of this book and here is my review.
This was a good scare. No nightmares though. I'd never heard of half of the folklore creatures in the story. Definitely gonna do some research on Bucca Boos, Spriggans and Lutins. I so wanted to get to the end of the story to see what happened but at the same time was sad to finish it. Looking forward to the next instalment.

I have to admit a book about pixies didn't exactly seem like something I wanted to read. I really enjoyed the Left series by this same author and War Memorabilia so I thought I'd give this book a try. What a gem! It has great characters and the story flows nicely. I shouldn't be surprised at this great book because I think this author is very talented and really knows how to develop loveable relatable characters. This book was fun and enjoyable.

I was lucky enough to get this for free. This is the incredible aventures of a pixie tribe starting from being homeless to finding a home to homeless again. Throw in a little romance..alot of danger..and I have to admit I even shed a tear or two. Good book for all ages.

There are two kinds of brazilians

There are two kinds of brazilians.

The poor ones, like you may see on TV one of these days.

And the ones who read this book.

This is a short, clear, no-non sense guide to establishing yourself in the tourism trade (but only if you are a brazilian in Brazil, mind you). As the World Cup and Olympics are drawing near, you have only yourself to blame if you do not get rich.

Though the authors strongly discourage it, the book may also be useful to non-brazilians, helping the hapless tourist avoid some common pitfalls traveling around the "country of the future".

Minor quibbles: in Brazil we speak portuguese, not brazilian, though some portuguese people will beg to disagree. There are also some spanish words thrown in.

Misty E. Vermaat has more than 25 years of experience in the field of computer and information technology. In addition to consulting in the field, she was an Associate Professor at Purdue University Calumet, teaching or developing Microsoft Office, computer concepts, database management, systems analysis and design, and programming courses. Cynthia Enloe is Research Professor of Women's Studies and International Development at Clark University. A cogent analysis

Enloe approaches the Iraq war by examining the perspectives of 4 Iraqi women and 4 American women. This allows her explore the perspectives of women in terms of their roles and positions (like mother, daughter, teenager, wife etc.) in relation to the politics and dynamics of war. I got a fuller picture of the war because of Enloe's analysis and it is an invaluable contribution to the literature on the Iraq war.

Great book

Absolutely riveting book about the feminist aspects of the war and how they have affected both sides.

In particular, the Iraqi stories really opened my eyes to the things we Americans (the West in general) don't see or hear from the media. I absolutely recommend this book, but I must say, prepared to be angry after finishing it. I know I was. The conditions and tales are absolutely horrifying.

Theraputic Exercise

This book is a must read for all Physical Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistants. It does an exceptional job of describing the holistic and functional approach to helping the patient. Large, Clear Photo's of exercises and techniques. "Functional progression for the spine" chapter 14, details the right way to fix a multitude of spinal disorders. This chapter emphasizes and explains the concept of "neutral spine" and the patients overall posutre wonderfully!

the college i was attending forced us to use this book. This book it pure junk. only listed very basic exercise and didnt not explain them at all just showed a picture. The teacher used the book sparingly due to the lack of information that it contained. Try and avoid this book if you can.
